Any night that advertises through the medium of bollock-naked joggers is going to be a little bit different, and so it is with the genre-spanking ’Romp’, the new Wednesday night at The Harley.

Sequestered from Manchester after five years (and counting) of critical and commercial success, resident DJ NJG is used to presiding over a hopelessly sexed-up, sweaty crowd of sprightly young things.

Unfortunately launch night is a little bit more reserved on the dance floor, despite the best efforts of the two young cads who spring a perverse, homoerotic mime-cum-dance routine early on.

Nevertheless, Romp clearly has the potential to pull down your pants, push you down a hill and make frenetic love to you in a steamy pile of mud at the bottom. So let it.
